Welcome to Polaris

Polaris is a semi-realistic, play-by-post multi species roleplaying game with mature themes. We opened in early 2026, but this project had been in the pipeline long before that! Our creative team wanted to create a website where writers could come together and collaborate in an environment that was fun and welcoming, but also dynamic. And so, after slowly chipping away at concepts - some of which will remain hidden until the time is right - Polaris was born!

The topic themes may be dark in places, but that's for our characters to worry about - when it comes to the players, the priority of our staff is to ensure that our little corner of the internet remains a safe place for everyone who chooses to write here. You can find out more about what sort of conduct we expect from the Polaris community - and that works both ways, remember; staff are held to the exact same standard - once you read a bit further on, we won't bog you down with it here.... but safe to say it's all the common sense stuff that you'd expect.

In this Guidebook the Polaris team won't have been able to account for every possible outcome of a situation, or have thought of every single loophole. Most of us have been in roleplaying circles for a long time, and while we won't have seen it all, we certainly will have seen most of it.... but we're also humans with busy lives, and we appreciate that will likely be the case for most of our members. Our goal is, and always has been, to make a forum where people can express and enjoy themselves safely. Everything else comes secondary to that. With that being said, we're really looking forward to meeting you, and welcoming you into our community!
